Ellis Clemetson
Research and Policy Fellow
Ellis Clemetson is the summer of 2026 Research and Policy Fellow for Washtenaw My Brother's Keeper. Ellis is a rising sophomore at the James Madison Residential College at Michigan State University, pursuing a double major in Politics, Rights & Culture and Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy with a minor in Religious Studies.
As this year's research and policy fellow, he will be supporting the implementation and coordination of key WMBK initiatives such as 50 Strong Breakfasts and Restorative Practice Circles while also working to promote, organize, and manage the Formula 734 Tour initiative. Along with his work with WMBK programs, he will assist with grant research and writing and conduct local research and policy analysis related to education equity and youth leadership, eventually drafting and publishing policy briefs, reports, Op-Eds, and white papers.
Ellis was born in the DMV and grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, before moving to Ann Arbor in 2016 and has since been an active member of the community. Outside of work and school, Ellis enjoys watching and playing sports, listening to music, and going to the movies.
